Description | An exceptionally pure sample of Elven Steel |
Elven Steel Ingot
An exceptionally pure sample of Elven Steel
Calling this item an Elven Steel Ingot is a bit confusing for those not deeply familiar with Elven Steel. One could reasonably assume that an Elven Steel Ingot is the substance produced by the elves for use in crafting weapons. However that isn't correct. Elven Steel is an alloy made by the elves useful for fighting various creatures. An Elven Steel Ingot is a strange naturally occurring substance that was never processed. In all probability it is these ingots the elves were attempting to duplicate when they developed the process to make Elven Steel.

Ritual Components
There are a wide variety of ritual components. Basic ritual components are any component from the seven school of magic. These are the most commonly used ones for standard game rituals. Other components are known as special ritual components. Special ritual components, such as Dragon's Blood or Ghost Stones, cannot ever be replaced by other items or powers, you must use the exact item called for. Generally special ritual components are required for custom plots or very rare rituals.
To recognize ritual components requires the identify magic skill. Ritual components are consumed when used to perform a ritual.
Potions and scrolls of spells from the same school can be used to replace a ritual component, counting as the school the items come from.
The quantity of items required to count as a single ritual component is based on the following chart:
Level of potion or scroll | Quantity |
---|---|
1 | 10 potions or scrolls of the same school |
2 | 8 potions or scrolls of the same school |
3 | 6 potions or scrolls of the same school |
4 | 4 potions or scrolls of the same school |
5 | 2 potions or scrolls of the same school |
