Basic Gear: Gems

Gems are used as a type of specialized valuable item in game. Some rituals require them specifically as a rare component, and determine how many are needed based on the value of the gems. As such gems cannot be given coin value using the rules to give props value. A character may bring into play unnumbered gems that have no value, however its important to keep in mind these only serve decorative purposes, players are not allowed to try to pass off counterfeit items as there is no way for a player to recognize what is and is not legitimate. Anyone who sees such a gem should be able to immediately know it has no value.

Numbered gems ARE lootable, unnumbered (decorative) ones would not be.
